Breaking: Tension grows as Covid-19 cases from Ibadan-based coy rise to 61

The number of coronavirus positive patients found in the embattled Ibadan South west organisation on Wednesday increased to 61.

This was disclosed by Oyo state Governor Seyi Makinde who also confirmed that six new cases have been recorded in the state.

The governor who spoke via his twitter handleo disclosed the identity of the organization as iSON Xperiences, and that the organisation has been shut, adding, “The Emergency Operations Centre has continued intensive contact tracing to identify persons of interest linked to members of staff in the company.”

Governor Makinde vowed that the organisation would remain shut, and be decontaminated to prevent further spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

“The COVID-19 confirmation tests for six suspected cases came back positive. All six cases are from the same organisation, iSON Xperiences in Ibadan South West local government area. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 143,” he said.
