The governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Abakaliki a while ago on Wednesday struck out the petition filed by the All Progressive Congress (APC) and its candidate against the election of Governor David Umahi.
This development came after Michael Odo, counsel to APC governorship candidate, Sonni Ogbuoji, presented a motion for withdrawal of the petition.
Counsel to the 1st Respondent Okechukwu Otukwu did not oppose the motion.
The court therefore struck out the petition and also awarded cost of N100,000 to the Respondents.
