A truck on Saturday afternoon failed break while heading towards Orlu, and reportedly crushed up to 12 market women to death at Nkwommiri market in Nwangele local government area of Imo state.
Eyewitness told Blueprint that many others were also wounded as a result of the incident.
Authorities including the Federal Road Safety Commission and Nigeria Police were yet to confirm the incident.
