A group of prisoners have escaped from a prison in South Africa and have hijacked a vehicle as police desperately try and hunt them down, it has been reported.
Around 50 criminals reportedly escaped from a jail in Malmesbury, a small town in the country’s Western Cape, theSun reports.
Disturbing footage shows men sprinting through the streets surrounded by what looks like tear gas.
There are also reports of a lags hijacking a car as police chased them.
It is unclear how the men busted out of prison.
