The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday revealed that election will eventually not take place in 240 polling units during the 2023 general elections.
INEC chairman, Prof. Mahmud Yakubu, who disclosed this during a meeting with political parties in Abuja said the reason was that nobody registered to vote at those pulling unit.
There has been concerns over rising insecurity and political attacks in recent times as the date for the presidential election draws near.
February 25, 2023 has been designated for the presidential and national assembly elections in Nigeria.
