Breaking: Yobe assembly gets new deputy Speaker

Yobe State House of Assembly on Tuesday welcomed new deputy, Honourable Saidu Baba, representing Nangere constituency.

His emergence was rectified after nomination by Honourable Mohammed Isa Bello of
Mamudo constituency and seconded by Honourable Ahmed Mirwa of Nguru II
constituency.

Baba’s upliftment became necessary following the demise of former deputy speaker, Dr. Ibrahim Kurmi who died on February 19, 2019 at Yobe State Teaching Hospital.

The new deputy speaker has since been sworn-in by the clerk of the House, Ishaku Usman Mohammed.

Tuesday’s sitting was manned by the Speaker, Hon. Zanna Ali Machina.
