Breaking: Protesters block NASS gate, demand open balloting to elect leaders

A group on the platform of Advocate for Good Governance (AGG) has led protesters to demand that the forthcoming election of the National Assembly leader should not be a secret ballot.

According to a letter addressed to the Senate President Bukola Saraki, the group cited global parliamentary practice of electing leaders through open ballot, asking that members-elect of the 9th Assembly to be vigilant and defend the interest of their constituencies.
