Brig. – Gen Ishaq sworn in as Borno’s adviser on security affairs

 

Borno state governor, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum has sworn in Brigadier General Abdullahi Sabi Ishaq (rtd) as Special Adviser on Security Affairs to Borno state government.

The swearing in ceremony was administered at the Government House by the Chief Judge, represented by Justice Babagana Karumi. 

The governor while congratulating the new special adviser, urged him to see his appointment as a call to duty and service to humanity.

General Ishaq retired from the Nigerian Army on January 10, 2021 after 35 years of unblemished service, with his last position being coordinator of the Nigeria Police component of the Operation Lafiya Dole from December 2018 to January, 2021.  

Before then, General Ishaq was Commander of 8 Provost group of the Nigerian Army, Monguno from February 2016 to February, 2018; which meant that the Kwara-born retired General served in Borno for five years
