Buhari in close-door meeting with APC senators

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday night met with senators elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the conference hall of the wife of the President.
The meeting is coming after a mass defection of some APC lawmakers from APC to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and others.
Agenda of the meeting was not made public as at the time of filing this report, but Blueprint learnt that it might not be unconnected with the defection at the National Assembly.
Senate President Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki is conspicuously absent at the meeting.

He received a round of applause from the President and his colleagues at the meeting.
During self introduction, the senator greeted the President with laughter and said: “Mr. President, your son is back home.”
The President replied by asking “What would I have told Kabiyesi?” Apparently referring to Dapo Tejuosho, the Oshile of Oke Ona Egbaland.
