Zamfara: Buhari commends Mattawallen on security

President Muhammadu Buhari has applauded the reconciliation process initiated by Zamfara state Governor Bello Mattawallen Maradun to end banditry in the state.

Buhari who spoke at the maiden convocation ceremony of the Federal University, Gusau, Zamfara state Saturday, said the state government’s efforts towards attainment of peace was commendable.

The president who was represented by the former deputy governor of Kano state Professor Hafiz Abubakar expressed readiness to end all forms of insurgency and banditry, as well as to provide critical infrastructure across the nation.

“Indeed, Governor Bello Mattawallen had played a significant role which need to be commended in all ramifications and we are going to remain resolute in supporting his government to attain constant peace in the state,” he said.

He said the federal government is determined to reinvigorated the education system through entrepreneurship scheme.

“We are going to give much emphasis on the entrepreneurship scheme in all the federal institutions and support the 36 states with a view to engage youths who graduated into entrepreneurship businesses to become self-reliant instead of waiting for the white collar job at the end of their study”.  He stated.

In his speech, governor Mattawalle commended the authorities of the university for living up to its mission of providing dynamic courses of study.

“It is indeed worthy of note that Federal University, Gusau has achieved the objective of its establishment, which is to become a true centre for excellence in education and research as well as greater community service,” he said.
