Buhari has failed – APP chairman

A newly registered party, Action Peoples Party (APP) has berated the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari saying that the All Progressives Congress (APC) controlled government has failed in the implementation of three point agenda of namely economy, security, and war against corruption.
The National Chairman, Barr. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, while making a public presentation of the party’s agenda on Monday, lamented that Buhari has failed woefully in the provision and maintenance of infrastructure in the country.
According to Ikenga, “Three years down the line, the President and his All Progressives Congress (APC) have exhibited a total lack of capacity and knowledge to protect the lives of Nigerians in basically every state of the federation. We are now more divided as a country than even during the dark days of the civil war.
“Our country is filled with rivers of blood flowing into the Atlantic Ocean, yet our government is not taking any action. In just less than three months of 2018 alone, there have been mass loss of lives in thirty-four of our thirty-six states and not one person has been brought to book,” he said.
The Chairman noted that questionable characters are encouraged to join President Buhari-led APC, adding that “in most cases their corruption cases or investigation dies down. Today, the Buhari led APC government harbours the biggest number of those who contributed in destroying Nigeria and the same government will claim to be fighting corruption.”
On the issue of pension fraud involving Abdulrasheed Maina, Ugochinyere said that President Buhari demanded that a report be put on his table before close of work on that day, just to cancel his involvement in the return and reinstatement of Maina.
He said: “Nigerians are asking, what has happened to that report by the Head of Service? It is somewhere gathering dust while Maina has been allowed safe passage out of the country escorted by his country aides.”
While he noticed that agencies of government lack coordination and harmony and even work at cross purpose, the Chairman noted that cabal has hijacked the daily running of government.
He said: “Under this government, we have witnessed the gravest violation of the constitution, human right and the rule of law. We have seen a plethora of glaring cases of obstruction of justice, acts which are in line with our constitution tantamount to impeachment offences but unfortunately, the parliament lacks the balls to save Nigeria from this misfortune and have sacrificed a better Nigeria on the altar of party politics.”
