Buhari/Osinbajo support group tasks new APC NWC

The newly elected National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) led by Comrade Adams Oshiomole must work assiduously to unite all party members and build confidence ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Handing down the task yesterday, members of the Grassroots Movement for Buhari/Osibanjo (GMBO), said this was necessary to ensure that aggrieved members of the party and those who were likely not well accommodated during the just concluded national convention join hands to forge a stronger force against opposition political parties in the forthcoming general elections.
The GMBO, which is one of the frontline political support groups mobilising support for the re-election bid of President Muhammad Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, said the APC would be even more difficult to beat if all forces combined and rally behind the Buhari/Osinbajo candidacy in 2019.
While congratulating the new party leaders, the group also stressed the need for all party members to lend their support to the new party leaders in order to achieve maximum success at the polls during the forthcoming general elections.
The GMBO, Director General, Chief Igho Osiebe, who statement this in a release in Abuja yesterday, expressed strong confidence in the calibre of people elected to run the affairs of the party.
He observed that the successful conduct of the convention by the party has put paid to the notion that the APC is not a united party and is likely to therefore headed for implosion.
“The just concluded convention of APC has again put to a lie that our party is headed for self implosion. We not only had a successful convention but also elected credible party men and women as members of the NWC”, Osiebe further stated.
“We have no doubt in the capabilities and capacities of our new national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, to pilot the affairs of our great party. He is a time-tested and trusted party man who has all it takes to take the APC to greater heights”, Osiebe added.
Therefore, he urged party members to rally round the new leadership of the party in order to help President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, to deliver on their promises to Nigerian people.
Osiebe, also urged party members, who were not satisfied with the outcome of some of the results of the convention, to explore internal conflict resolution mechanisms within the party to channel their grievances.
