Buhari to Kaduna govt: Fish out Kaura LG killers

Former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), yesterday called on the Kaduna state government to fish out the perpetrators of the recent attacks and killings in Kaura local government area of Kaduna state to enable them face the full wrath of the law.
Speaking when he led a delegation of the national leaders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) on a condolence visit to the Chief of Marwa Malam Tagwi Sambo, Buhari said, “It is only when the perpetrators are brought to book and punished according to the law of the land that it would serve as a deterrent to others.”

According to the APC chieftain, insecurity would become a thing of the past if Nigerians gave their vote to APC in the forthcoming 2015 general elections, adding that the party would address insecurity and other socio economic challenges facing the country.
He said: “If Nigerians gave their mandate to APC come 2015 general elections, it will address the prolonged insecurity that has been bedevilling the country which the government of President Goodluck Jonathan has woefully failed to address.
“For me, I am not a stranger in Kaura because my elder brother is a close friend of the Chief of Marwa, so I feel like I am at home here.”
The APC delegation donated the sum of N2 million to the victims of the killings and attacks during the condolence visit, with the money presented by Buhari to the Chief of Marwa.

The Chief of Marwa, Malam Tagwai Sambo, in his response, thanked the visitors for the visit while he described the incident as an act of God. He expressed hope that the incident will never occurred again.
Top members of the national executive committee of the APC who were on the condolence visit include the Deputy National Chairman of APC, Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, National Secretary of the party, Malam Nasiru E-Rufai, and Alhaji Suleiman Hunkuyi.
