Buhari wants Senate to confirm 46 ambassador-nominees

President Muhammadu Buhari has forwarded names of 46 ambassador- nominees to the Senate for confirmation.
The names of the nominees, who are all career foreign officers at the Federal Ministry of Foreign, were listed in a letter dated June 6, 2016, and addressed to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, by the President.

The President, in the letter read by Saraki during plenary yesterday, said the names were submitted in accordance with section 171 of the 1999 Constitution, as amended.
The letter titled: “Confirmation of Ambassadorial Nominees” read: “In accordance with section 171(1) (c) sub-section 4 of the 1999 constitution as amended. I have the honour to forward the attached list of 46 career Foreign Service officers as Ambassadors-designate for consideration and confirmation by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria..,”

The nominees whose copies of curriculum vitae were attached to the letter , include: Obinna Chukwuemeka Agbugba, Salisu Umaru, Iyang Udoh-Inyang, Okeke Vivian Nwunaku, Liman Munir, Ndem Jane Ada, Mohammed Hassan-Hassan, Martin Nyong Cobham, Janet Omoleegho Olisa, Itegboye.S. Sunday, Olatunde Adesesan and Lilian Ijeukwu Onoh.
Others are  Manaja Tulah Isah, Ngozi Ukaeje, Bello Kazaure Husseini, Enoch Pear Duchi, Garba Baba, Usman Bakori Aliyu, Umar Zainab Salisu, Momoh Sheidu Omeiza, Kadiri Ayinla Audu, Balogun Hakeem, Inusa Ahmed, Ibrahim Isah, Bankole Adegboyega  Adeoye and Ibidapo-Obe Oluwasegun.

Also on the list are, Ogundero Sakirat, Eric .A. Bell-Gam, Attahiru Halliru, Rahmatu A. Dunama, Musa Saban Mamman, Kabiru Bala, Adamu Onoze Shuaibu, D. A Agev, T.K Gongulong, Ibrahim Hamza, K.C Nwachukwu and Q.I. Worlu.
The remaining nominees are E.K. Oguntuwase, I. A. Paragalda, L. A. Gashagar, Olufemi Abikoye, Habu Abubakar Gwani Ibrahim, Rabiu Akawu, Okeke Vivian Nwunaku, Odeka Janet Bisong, and Sonaike Odekunbi Abibat.
