Buhari’s 2nd term best interest of Nigeria – Arise

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and gubernatorial aspirants in Ekiti state, Senator Ayo Arise, has lauded President Muhammadu Buhari’s Monday’s declaration for second term, stating that it is in best interest of Nigeria.
The former senator said Nigeria will not regret the decision of President Buhari to seek re-election in the 2019 general elections.
Senator Arise, who spoke shortly after the president’s declaration, was at the party national secretariat where he picked his nomination and expression of interest form for the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Ekiti state.
“If this man is saying we should stop stealing in this country, and people should use the money to develop the country, are we not going to support him for as long as possible, as long as he’s physically fit?
“We can see that since the president recovered from his ailments, he’s being up to the task, he’s being very agile, he looks healthier by the day, so, I think for me personally, for the programmes that have been set in place, they should be able to give him the chance that is allowed by the constitution to complete the projects that he has started and the policies.
“If this man is saying people should stop stealing in this country and that people who have stolen should return what they have stolen, I think I want to support him for as long as he is physically fit and we have seen that he is fit”, he said.
On the governorship election, he said the party leadership has assured aspirants there will be no imposition of anyone.
“If I win this ticket, Governor Fayose knows he is a ‘gonner’ and so he is waiting for this party to make a mistake in her choice of candidate. But the party has assured us that there will be nothing like that”, he said.
