A group of lawmakers from the Northwest geo-political zone, under the aegis of Network West Young Parliamentarians, has described the resolve of President Muhammadu Buhari to seek re-election as the best for the development of the country.
The group congratulated Nigerians on the development, claiming that Buhari’s declaration has rekindled the hope and aspirations of Nigerians that all the projects and programmes executed by his administration would be completed.
A statement issued in Abuja yesterday by the media aide to the group, Mr. Kabir Tafoki, quoted its Chairman, Hon. Yusuf Bala Ikara, representing Ikara/Kubau Federal Constituency, Kaduna state, as saying that Nigerians were now rest assured that Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, have answered the call to seek re-election in order to complete all their programmes on infrastructural development, social and national security.
Ikara said: “For the fact that Nigeria is not known for policy continuation at the instance of change of government, it is now certain that all the programmes and projects of the Buhari administration would be concluded before the expiration of its second term’’.
The group, however, assured Nigerians that Buhari and Osibanjo have demonstrated decorum and respect for each other in the interest of the country and would not relent in providing good governance for the greatness of the country.
