Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Gambari, visits Nasarawa, bags traditional title

The Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, has urged Nigerians to embrace one another and work in unity for the success and development of the country.

He stated this on Saturday, at the palace of the emir of Lafia during his two days working visit to Nasarawa state.

Gambari who was honoured with the traditional title of Zanna Yawu Dima of Lafian Bare-Bari, meaning the “Defender of the Dynasty” by the emir, said the honour will build an inclusive and cohesive society where everyone will be happy, safe and proud to have a country.

He urged Nigerians to prioritise the unity and peace of the country, noting that leaders must work assiduously towards unity and tolerance among ethnic groups in the country.

He therefore, urged Nigerians to continue to give maximum support to President Buhari saying that his success is everyone’s success in the land.

Gambari who had earlier visited the Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Development Institute (AMEDI) Lafia, said the building like other five AMEDI in the country was a symbol of serious federal government’s commitment to the development of agricultural across the country.

He expressed confidence that AMEDI Lafia, which was built by NASENI will in no time emerge as a centre of excellence in agricultural machinery and equipment designed to enable Nigeria to scale new heights for agricultural produce and a hub for agro-allied technologies.

“It is a good pleasure for me to be here physically, groundbreaking ceremony was done on August which I am proud to be associated with, and now I am here to see the tremendous progress that had been made since that time. By God’s grace, before the end of this administration this would be commissioned.

Gambari appreciated the executive vice chairman NASENI Prof. Mohammed Sani Haruna for the work he has been doing across the country.

He was later received by the emir of Lafia Justice Sidi Bage rtd. at his palace.

Gambari could not hide his happiness over the warm reception organised by the Nasarawa state government.
