Buhari’s declaration apt – Group

President Muhammadu Buhari’s declaration to vie for the second tenure has been described as apt and timely.
The national chairman North Central Media Support Group for Buhari made the statement in a press release yesterday in Jos yesterday stressing the President deserves a second term because of the tremendous turnaround of the economy.
“President Muhammadu Buhari’s, declaration of intent to re-contest in the 2019, election was a clear manifestation that readily agrees with the best wishes of majority of Nigerians that have been clamouring for that,” he said.
The release said the President decision as publicly expressed at a time when some non patriotic elements who sees themselves as political game makers or gladiators, where wailing against Buhari’s, 2019 bid, was not only, “apt and timely but was a signed of absolute dedication of his firm patriotism towards actualising his dream of raiding out corrupt elements in the nation’s system.”
It said the president acceptance was a response to the people’s will to vie for the seat, which shows that he is a good listener of his admirers in particular and well meaning Nigerians, adding that he is a respecter of the rules of law, “but not those wailers who had ruled and outrightly shun decorum and adherence to principles of good governance and rule of laws.”
According to the release Nigerians still having confidence and trust in the visionary leadership of Muhammadu Buhari, as they canvassed for him 2015.
It said: “The President acceptance is yet another good moment for all Nigerians and is also an indication of his continued fight against corruption, improvement of security and infrastructure.”
The group called on all to continue to ignore the “wailing of Obasanjo, IBB and other detractors of our progress and to also continue to support Buhari and Osinbajo’s led administration to success.”
