Buhari’s ex-minister shuns Tinubu’s inauguration, attends Otti’s swearing in

Former Minister of Transportation and prominent member of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, was notably absent from the inauguration ceremony of Bola Tinubu as Nigeria’s 16th President on Monday, May 29, 2023.

Tinubu’s inauguration garnered significant attendance from African leaders, including Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, Billy By-Nze, the Prime Minister of Gabon, Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic of Cote D’Ivoire, Nana Akufo-Addo, the President of Ghana, and Paul Kagame, the President of Rwanda, among others.

Amaechi was spotted at the inauguration ceremony of Alex Otti, the newly elected governor of Abia State under the Labour Party (LP).

The event took place at the Umuahia Township Stadium, where Otti was sworn in as governor.

Amaechi wasn’t alone in Umuahia.

Former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II also graced Otti’s inauguration.
