Buhari’s re-election non-negotiable – Group

The Bauchi Concerned Citizens, a political pressure group, has asserted that Nigeria would move steps backwards if President Muhammadu Buhari is not re-elected in 2019 ‘to complete his legacy projects and reforms.
Secretary General of the group, Comrade Alkassim Nuhu Abdulkadir, made this assertion yesterday during a massive rally organised in support of Buhari’s second term bid.
He explained that about 5, 000 youths participated in the rally, adding that it was meant to show solidarity to Buhari as well as counter the recent rejection of his re-election by the Arewa Consultative Forum and the Northern Elders Forum at a news conference.
According to him, the president deserved commendation for his fight against corruption and insecurity, appealing to the cabals trying to sabotage the administration to allow him actualise his goal of making Nigeria a better place.
While applauding Buhari for rewarding Bauchi state with juicy federal appointments, Abdulkadir urged the appointees to use their offices in empowering the youths and facilitating developments to the state.
He also called on the citizens of the state to reciprocate the gesture by giving block votes to the president in the forthcoming 2019 polls.
