Bulls bounce back as stock market gains N69bn

MTN Nigeria Communications Plc yesterday recorded the highest loss at the equity market segment of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), declining by N1.20 kobo to close at N127.00, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated trailed with a loss of N0.10 kobo to close at N7.60 kobo, United Bank for Africa fell by N0.10 kobo to close at N8.65 kobo, Guaranty Trust Bank sheds N0.10 kobo to close st N32.10 kobo , Honey Well Flour down by N0.09 kobo to close at N1.08 kobo.

The result showed that Seplat Petroleum Development Plc led gainers table, adding N12.00 to close at N600.00, Cap Plc followed with a gain of N2.50 kobo to close at N27.20 kobo, Dangote Cement gained N2.10 kobo to close at N174.90 kobo, Unilever Nigeria Plc added N1.45 kobo to close at N19.45 kobo, BUA Cement Plc gained N0.80 kobo to close at N37.80 kobo.

A review of the trading activities at the NSE showed that Market capitalisation of listed equities yesterday appreciated by N69 billion or 0.45 per cent to N15.591 trillion from N15.173 trillion reported the previous day.

The NSE All Share Index also increased by 133.08 basis points to 29592.29 points from 29458.21 traded on Wednesday.
