Bulls return as domestic equity gains N364bn

Trading activities on the floor of Nigerian Exchange yesterday returned to positive trend, gaining N364 billion .

Market capitalisation of listed equities yesterday increased by 1.35 per cent to N27.300 trillion from N26.936 trillion reported the previous day.

The NGX All Share Index also appreciated by 675.72 basis points to 50626.04 points from 49950.32 points reported the previous day.

Investors traded 129.166 million shares valued at N2.861 billion in 4706 deals against 176.053 million shares worth N2.271 billion exchanged hands in 4965 deals.

An analysis of the Investment showed that Honey Well Flour led gainers table during the day, gaining 9.66 per cent to N2.27, Jaiz Bank followed with a gain of 9.46 per cent to N0.81, Caverton gained 8.18 per cent to N1.19, Japaul Gold increased by 8.00 per cent to N0.27, Mansard up by 7.56 per cent to N1.85.

On the contrary, Mcnichols topped losers chart during the day, shedding 9.76 per cent to N0.74, Wapic Insurance trailed with a loss of 9.76 per cent to N0.37, Chams Plc fell by 8.00 per cent to N0.23, NGX group dipped by 2.73 per cent to N21.35, United Bank for Africa declined by 2.08 per cent to N7.05.
