Buni fulfils first promise to Yobe workers 4 weeks after inauguration

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has fulfilled one of the promises he made to workers in the state before he was elected, that their welfare would be looked into inorder to put in their best for the development of the state.

This happened Tuesday 25th June, 2019 when the salary of workers was paid as promised by the governor in his inaugural speech.

“The civil service remains the engine room of government and vehicle for development. This administration will provide adequate support training and retraining of the work force for capacity building to enhance efficiency and productivity.”

“Yobe State is noted for its policy of prompt payment of salaries, pensions and gratuities and when it comes to this matter, we will not be found wanting” he said.

Blueprint investigation revealed that all eyes were on the governor, considering that his predecessor had never failed to pay workers salary as at when due through out his tenure.

While thanking the governor, Adamu Ali and Ya Kaka who are civil servants in the state called on him to consider the payment of leave grant which the preceding government could not pay for years.

Yobe is one of the of the few states in the country that is upto date in salaries, pensions and gratuity payments.
