Buni in Saudi, orders new beddings for Yobe pilgrims

Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni has directed that beddings in the accommodation facility provided for pilgrims from the state be replaced with new ones.

The governor gave the directive in a statement by the director general, Yobe Government House, Damaturu, Abdullahi Bego, a copy of which was emailed to our reporter.

He also said to avoid undue stress, pilgrims should be served meals in their respective rooms.

The governor spoke Tuesday in Makka, Saudi Arabia on the sidelines of his Umrah visit during an inspection of accommodation and other facilities organised by the state pilgrims commission ahead of the hajj rites by intending pilgrims.

The governor was at the facility opposite Bin Ladan Mosque on Ummul Qura Street where the state pilgrims would be housed.

He was conducted round the facility by Mahmoud Abubakar, a representative of Manabir As-Souda Company which is providing logistics facilitation on behalf of the commission.

Buni further reiterated that everything necessary should be done throughout the hajj circle to ensure pilgrims have the best possible environment to perform their pilgrimage.
