BVAS denies former Ogun governor, Osoba from voting

The newly introduced Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) has failed to capture and accredit former governor of Ogun state, Olusegun Osoba, thereby disenfranchising him from voting.

Osoba who was billed to vote at unit 15, ward 14 in Omololu house, Ibara housing in Abeokuta, the state capital, had previously left the polling unit when the BVAS failed to captured him.

On his return from his residence, which is a few kilometers away from the polling unit, Osoba facial and thumb prints failed on the BVAS the second time.

“I feel sad,” Osoba told newsmen, saying he had accepted his fate.

He said any attempt to cast vote after being denied accreditation by the machine would amount to an over-voting.
