Bwari chairman, monarch for OGF inauguration

 

Executive chairman of Bwari area council, Hon Musa Diko, and the paramount ruler of Dakwa community, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, His Royal Highness, Baba Shukuri, will on April 7 inaugurate the board of trustees of Ohewem Global Foundation (OGF).
Founder and President General of OGF, Apostle Samuel Arikwu, in a press statement, said the inauguration will kickstart the major activities of the non-governmental organisation which emerged to work for the upliftment of the poorest of the poor in the society.
Arikwu said the challenges confronting the country, including the plight of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) occasioned by the Boko Haram insurgency, widows, the destitute as well as the trauma facing retired men of God informed the establishment of the NGO.
He noted that, notwithstanding the efforts of the federal government to address the problems associated with violence, poverty and ignorance prevalent in the country, a lot needed to be done by private groups and individuals to ameliorate the menace.
Apostle Arikwu described the recent spate of killings across the North as worrisome, saying the vital needs of the children of the victims, including education required the intervention of public spirited individuals in order to arrest the imminence of anarchy awaiting the country “Ohewem Global Foundation seeks to answer a number of questions confronting our people on a daily basis, as an intervention NGO and wewill stop at nothing to make people happy,” he said.
According to the statement, those expected at the formal inauguration of the NGO also include the District Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Abuja District, Rev Hycinth Ngene, President, Core Academy, Madam Kai Orga, Raymond Omenka Omachi, Jerry Ebube, Okoye Boniface and Joseph Victor.
