Bwari emir Ijah-Koro dies at 90

Emir of Bwari, Alhaji Mohammed Musa Ijah-Koro, has died at the age of 90 in the early hours of yesterday at Bwari town.
Blueprint reports that the traditional ruler, who died after a protracted illness, celebrated his 40th anniversary on the throne last year as one of the second class chiefs in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT.)

It was gathered that until his death, he had stopped attending most of the traditional rulers’ meetings and other engagements as a result of his failing health.

Meanwhile, the Chairman, Bwari area council, Hon. Musa Dikko, has abandoned his office assignments and relocated to the palace to receive sympathisers from within the capital and outside.

Left to mourn his are wives, children and many grand children.

The departed emir has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
