CAANU honours Emir Bamali

The 19th Fulani Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, has been receiving recognition from one organisation and the other since he was installed.

Our correspondent reports that the most recent recognition is coming from the Conference of Alumni Association of Nigerian Universities (CAANU) which is one of the organisations that identified with him as the substantive 19th emir of Zazzau following the demise of the late emir, Alhaji Shehu Idris.

The association weekend decided to investiture the emir as one of its patrons.

Speaking at the event held at Emir’s Palace in Zaria City, the national chairman of the association, Professor Ahmed Tijjani Mora, Wakilin Maganin Zazzau, said his association was new to Zazzau Emirate palace.

He recalled that the association at its last NEC meeting held in 2018 had approved the investiture on the late emir, Alhaji Idris, as one of its patrons, but before actualising it, he died.

The professor stated that the association also approved the investiture of the new emir, Ambassador Bamalli who succeeded the late emir.

He noted that the emir merited the conferment following his track records in public and humanitarian services.
