Calling on the management of Alibro Atrium Building

The management of Alibro Atrium Building at Utako, Abuja should find a way to curtail the unbecoming incessant trapping of people in its elevator to prevent a possible fatal accident that may occur in future if this persists.

On Monday, February 8, some people were trapped in the same elevator for many minutes, bringing the number of victims to many if one takes a look at the previous incidents of the same kind at the same Alibro’s building.

In one week, the elevator in question failed severally and incarcerated many to delay and in some cases prevented them from attending to things according to the scheduled time.

I have been a victim but I ignored the matter because I thought it was a normal accident that is common where elevators are used to ease movements but the continuation of the incident after mine calls for concern.

The epileptic power supply which seemed to be the reason for the incident in question can be managed since the building has its standby generator to use and replace the unreliable services of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, when its light goes off.

The security guards at Alibro Atrium Building, who are at the same time the ones in charge of the elevator, can be retrained on how to promptly come to the rescue of the trapped people since it takes time for people to be rescued as observed in the previous incidents and the one that happened yesterday including mine.

However, prevention is indeed better than cure. The time to act is now. There will be no need for one to take medicine when the head is off. Therefore, do something now!
