Can justice be got by politics?

It is funny to see the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, engaging Professor Ben Nwabueze to lead his counsel at the election tribunal as the case of politics where respected celebrities, role models, distinguished fellows are involved as mark of solidarity to appeal for votes, but in this case, victory.

From the words of the professor, it can be deduced that the essence of his appearance is to ‘intimidate’ and get the judges to his side, having acknowledged his weakness and health challenges. It is difficult to understand the plea for fairness by the professor when he has taken sides and identified with one.

The drama is ridiculous to the judiciary as it has portrayed justice as one that can be achieved mainly by trick and means of politics, lobby and propaganda than the merit of truth and reality.
