CAN mobilises members for peace in Kuje

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has mobilised its members for peaceful coexistence within all communities in Kuje area council.
Kuje CAN secretary, Sir Henry Ugbaja, while speaking to Blueprint, said the association held a meeting recently with pastors and leaders of the Churches to create more awareness on promotion of peace.
He said the body was keen on how best to support government and all security agencies to protecting lives and property.
Ugbaja stated that continuous violence would do no one good, especially the younger ones who have not known what challenges of life are.
He regretted the violence being experienced in some parts of the country and pledged CAN’s determination to preventing such in Kuje.
According to him, there won’t be hiding place for anyone who may want to use Christianity and instigate trouble in Kuje town.
He also advised the chairman of the Council, Abdullahi Danladi Galadima, to initiate programmes and policies that would enhance the well-being of the residents.
He added that political position should be seen as an avenue to offer quality services to electorate, which, according to him, should be carried out in fairness.
