Car hits ‘lover boy’ on Mabushi- Berger highway

A middle-aged man, simply identified as Ezekiel, was recently hit by a commercial driver on Mabushi-Berger highway in the Capital City while seeing off his girl friend.
The ‘lover boy’, who cheated death, but sustained severe injuries, Blueprint gathered, was crossing over the highway alongside his girl friend, Lizzy, when the incident occurred around 7:30 pm under the Mabushi Bridge.
According to an eyewitness, they were heading for Mabushi area from Wuse, Zone 6, but failed to use the pedestrian bridge and made their way through the ever-busy Mabushi highway when he was hit by a commercial vehicle enrouting Kubwa- Area One road.
The victim, it was further gathered, had earlier been warned not to cross over the highway before he was later hit by the on-coming vehicle on the highway.
Also, his girl friend, who was at the scene of the incident, told this medium that she had earlier warned Ezekiel to back off, but refused to listen to her, saying that the victim insisted on following her home.
Another eyewitness, Abubakar Idris, claimed that Ezekiel was knocked down because of his negligence to use the pedestrian bridge and indecision to cross the highway as quickly as possible when the incoming vehicle was approaching.
Idris, however, confirmed to this medium that the victim was later rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
