Caverton to strengthen investment in water transportation

Caverton Plc has set strategic plan to strengthen focus and investment in water transportation.

Group Chief Executive Officer, Caverton Plc , Mr Olabode Makanjuola disclosed this in Lagos at the company’s facts behind the figure said the company would develop Helicopter maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility as authorised service centre for Augusta Westland Helicopters in Nigeria and sub Sahara Africa (SSA)

He said the company would continue to pursue exclusive technical partnerships in order to become the first choice offshore oil and gas support company in Nigeria.

He said on the Caverton marine business strategy, the company would develop and maintain large, diversified and technically sophisticated fleet, manage risk profile through balamce of short and long term charter, balanced portfolio of vessel type and deliver world class solely standards focus on attractive international markets.

Highlighting some of its growth strategies in Aviation industry, he said ” in order to diversify its portfolio of services and footprint in African Aviation Sector, Caverton has invested significantly in a state of Art full flight simulators training devices (FSTD) which will provide flight training services for AW139 Helicopter for Pilots.

He stated that the FSTD would be the first in Nigeria and the continent at large, adding the the company aim was to leverage on the increase of AW139 operators.

To create business value, he said management of the flight simulators training device will fall under the approved Caverton Aviation training Organisation and will be regulated by the European Aviation Safety Association and Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

He said although FSTD is expected to be delivered in the second quarter of 2020, Caverton has developed technical know through training by the Thales group in order to qualify or be licensed as and FSTD operator.
