Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has hailed the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) following the unveiling of new Naira notes.
This is as Nigerians mocked the new naira saying it’s not worth it.
Reacting, Omokri said the naira was not redesigned for beauty, rather the CBN did it for economic and security reasons.
He also said that the Dollar is powerful because of its value and not beauty.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, launched the redesigned Naira notes by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
Taking to his verified Twitter handle, he wrote, “The Naira was not redesigned for beauty. It was redesigned for economic and security reasons. And it achieved exactly that. Naira appreciated. Bandits were flummoxed. The dollar is powerful, but not beautiful. Emefiele and the CBN board deserve kudos, not hubris!”
