CEFN ordains elders, asks them to shepherd flocks

 

Christian Evangelical Fellowship of Nigeria (CEFN) recently ordained 13 elders of its church within Abuja zone.
Speaking with our correspondent during the ordination ceremony at its zonal headquarters in Gwagwalada, the officiating prelate and its general overseer, Rev. A. A. Adams, said “today is a unique day set aside to ordain elders of CEFN members and to commission them into the service of the Lord.”
Adams, who said “time indeed is perilous and we are waiting for the soon appearance of our Lord and Saviour.”
He called on all religious leaders to “serve the Lord in truth and posterity, eschew bitterness and work with God in humility.”
According to him, “as time goes by, we will never get better in this country, unless we, the religious leaders, work with God in sincerity and purity to bring back the glory of God in Nigeria.”
The general overseer gave the names of those ordained and call to service of God as: Ugbede Noah Aduojo -Mararaba, Ogwu Okedi Simon – Kubwa, Onuche James Akwu -Ado, Johnson Alabi Alfa – Nyanya, Ochika Okakpunoli Joshua – Kuje, Achemu Jibril Francis – Mpape, Idris Godwin Mageri – Tunga Maje, Salifu David Ocholi – Kwali, Abraham Okade – Kubwa, Jeremiah Enoch Atungwu – Gwagwalada, Jonathan Alidu Momoh – Nyanya, Onekutu Augustine – Nyanya, and Akpa Matthew – Mararaba.
Speaking after the ordination, one of the ordinands, Elder Ochika Okakpunoli Joshua, extolled the wonder virtues of the general overseer and his continuous contributions and support to CEFN Inc.
He prayed for God’s grace and enablement in the discharge of his duties, adding that his ordination would serve to ignite the fire of evangelisation among the church community.
