CHAN Eagles resume Monday in Kano

Nigeria’s home-based Super Eagles will now resume camping for next month’s African Nations Championship on Monday, July 24 in Kano. Th e 30-man team invited by coach Salisu Yusuf were initially billed to arrive camp on Sunday, July 16 in Kaduna but topfl ight matches scheduled for Wednesday and Sunday as well as logistics forced a change in earlier arrangements. Super Eagles media offi cer, Toyin Ibitoye disclosed that :”Th e invited players will now resume camp on Monday in Kano. Th is was done to allow the players feature for their respective club sides on Wednesday and Sunday. “We expect all the players latest Monday in camp and training activities will resume the next day, Tuesday.” Salisu invited four goalkeepers, nine defenders, eight midfi elders and nine strikers in preparation for the CHAN qualifi er against winner between Togo and Benin Republic in August with both sides playing a 1-1 draw in the fi rst leg encounter decided last weekend in Lome, Togo .
