Chelsea turn down latest Bayern bid for Callum Hudson-Odoi

Chelsea have reportedly rejected a £22.5million bid from Bayern Munich for Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The Mail claims the winger, 18, is back in Bayern’s sights after they failed to sign him in January.

Hudson-Odoi has been making fantastic progress as he looks to bounce back from an Achilles injury.

And it’s reckoned Bayern tabled a fresh offer this week as they look to bring two new wingers to the Allianz Arena.

Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben have both left the Bundesliga giants.

And Bayern are understood to also be targeting Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele.

However, Chelsea have no intention of selling Hudson-Odoi after already allowing Eden Hazard to join Real Madrid.

They remain confident the England international will sign a new deal despite entering the final year of his contract.

And Hudson-Odoi is believed to be happy to stay, with Frank Lampard set to make him a first-team starter while also handing him the now-vacant No 10 shirt.

But it’s reported that Bayern will not drop their interest as they believe Hudson-Odoi still wants to join them.

However, with Lampard at the helm and a host of other academy products set for regular opportunities, it seems like madness for Hudson-Odoi to turn his back on Chelsea now.
