Chinese investors ready to invest in Taraba – Ishaku

Taraba state Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku, has expressed optimism that the China business investment exhibition tour was an opportunity to woo investors from other parts of the world, particularly China, to develop the mining sector of the state.
He said this recently while speaking to Government House correspondents in an interview on arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The Governor said the only way to develop the mining potential of the state “is to reach out to countries that have the wherewithal to help develop the sector and China has readily indicated interest to partner with Taraba state government.”
He disclosed that the visit to China, which he described as “timely,” provided him and his team the opportunity to interact with Chinese investors and industrialists and also to intimate them on the availability of timber in the state.
According to him, he also discussed on how best to trade on Rosewood, popularly referred as Madrid, and its sustainability in order to curb deforestation and promote afforestation.
He said he would not relent in his efforts to transform the state, adding that all available avenues would be explored to reposition the state developmentally.
