Christmas: Delta police warns criminals

The Delta state police command has warned criminal elements such as kidnappers, militants, cultists, and armed robbers who might have planned  to cause break down of law and order before, during and after the festive period to leave the state  or face the full wrath of the law

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adeyinka  Adeleke, the warning on Friday  in Asaba on behalf of the officers and men of the command,  while  felicitating with Deltans as they celebrate Christmas and New Year.

He said he had ordered the deployment of over 7, 000 officers and men comprising conventional police and other tactical teams of the command with adequate necessary logistics to provide security in churches and other public places of interest in the state.

“The command is using this medium to warn all unfriendly forces of all descriptions, such as kidnappers, militants, cultist and other disgruntled elements that may want to cause break down of law and order before, during and after the festive period to have a rethink or face the full wrath of the law,” he said.
