Christmas: Religious group preaches unity, love at 2019 Carol

Relate International Foundation in collaboration with Christmas Village has reiterated the need for Nigerians to love each other and, continued to live as one irrespective of their diversity.

Giving this advice at the 2019 Annual Carol and empowerment in Abuja, with the theme: ‘Greater’ the Founder/President of the Foundation Barrister (Mrs) Ebuk Ekpo described the event as the end of the year thanksgiving and prayer for the nation.

According to her, Nigeria, its leaders, their wives, and even families may have challenges, saying that God was solving it.

She said, “What we are here to do is to pray for President Buhari, the First Lady, Lawmakers and their wives, Ministers and wives as well as families in the country.

“Rather than criticize our leaders at all time, I think we should take time to pray for them too. The other time, the First Lady complained and some took it to the social media rather than intervene in prayer. She is the mother of the nation and she needs our prayers.

She then charged women to stop blackmailing women and join politics to make a difference.

Also speaking, Dr (Mrs) Ifeoma Anyanwu stressed that women are endowed with motherly virtues, saying that they are key in the development of any Nation.

She said, “We should pray for women and leaders in authority to excel so that we can all smile if Nigeria was put on the right track, hence our coming together at this Carol organized by Relate International,”

During his sermon, Pastor Micheal Olufemi of the RCCG FCT Province, Karu reminded the guests that Christmas was a season of love, saying the savior came to save mankind.

Taking his readings from 2nd Chronicle 7:4 and Psalm 24:1, Olufemi charged Nigerians to seek the help of God for breakthrough, saying that the country must be delivered from every form of chains.
