CIPM plans service delivery strategies for HoS, commissioners

Strategies encompassing new innovations in service delivery are being mapped out for Heads of Service and commissioners across the 36 states of the Federation by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).

Addressing a press conference on the plans, Friday in Abuja, the Secretary of the organising committee, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, said the capacity building strategies being planned for the senior public officers was in collaboration with office of the Head of Service of the Federation.

“The strategies geared towards quality and efficient service delivery by targeted at bureaucrats, technocrats and Political players will be impacted on them next week in Abuja through a full day workshop to be organised for that effect.

“The objective of the Workshop is to provide key stakeholders in the Public Service across the Federation, practical templates to transform the Civil Service in line with global best practices in Human Resource Management.

“Participants will also build their knowledge capacity to transform the Civil Service in driving efficiency and effectiveness, with a view to changing mindsets and behaviours,” he said.

He added that a former Nigerian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, seasoned technocrat and administrator, Dr. Christopher Kolade, will among others, make key note address.
