CITAD trains northern youths on GBVO

The Centre for Information Technology and Development Jigawa state, has embarked on training and retraining of youths from northern Nigeria on Gender Based Violence Online and offline (GBVO).

According to the press statement signed by officer in charge of CITAD, Comrade Ali Sabo, 24 participants mainly students of Federal University Dutse and Jigawa State Polytechnic have been trained in Dutse, Jigawa state capital.

He said the training focused on Digital Rights, The Feminist Internet Principles, Concept of Gender Digital Gap, and how to report Gender Based Violence Online (GBVO) respectively.

The statement added at the end of the training, the facilitator urged the participants to join hand with CITAD in demanding for more gender digital inclusion policies both at federal and states level to help in fighting GBVO both online and offline.
