Civil servants frown at invasion of secretariat by hoodlums

The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) has frowned at the unlawful invasion of its secretariat by suspected hoodlums.

In a statement co-signed by its South west bloc coordinating chairman, Comrade Adeniyi Abdulghaniy Edwin, and the coordinating secretary, Comrade Adebiyi Olusegun, the association noted with dismay the fragrant lawlessness and crass display of contempt for civility and decorum by the invaders.

Naming one Bola Audu, the association stated that the unruly behaviour he manifested severally despite that NEC resolution at the plenary of 16th and 17th March, 2021 decided that he should step aside pending the resolution of his court cases.

“At this juncture, our candid advice to him is to address himself to the pending cases with the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and the Nigerian Immigration Service ((NIS) for holding two national passports of dissimilar bio data and states of origin.

“We must equally point it out to him that his serial resort to hooliganism and thuggery portrays him as one individual whose uncultured temperament cannot hold the high office he desperately seeks.

“In the same breath, Mr Mutiu Oluwa Adebayo, one of Audu cohorts needs to be reminded that he does not represent any voice of the South west bloc of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria.”
