Civil society commends Suswam’s aide for ‘improving lives’

A civil society organisation under the umbrella of Coalition of Civil Society Organisations for Transparency (CSOT) at its meeting yesterday commended the development efforts of the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Gabriel Suswam on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Solomon Wombo, for improving the lives of the people at the grassroots.

It gave the commendation in Abuja after its annual performance assessment exercise to evaluate good governance in the country and Benue state in particular, according to the communiqué released after the meeting.

In the communiqué signed by the newly inaugurated National President, Comrade Oladimeji Bakare, the coalition said it decided to honour the special adviser by nominating him as their Grand Patron.
Enumerating the qualities that influenced their decision, Bakare said they were endeared to him “because of his financial prudence, nationalistic posture and masses oriented leadership.”

He said: “We have decided to take a step further by nominating Prince Wombo who we have found worthy of public commendation as our grand Patron. We believe this will spur him to do greater feats.
“It is rather very rare to see a man who is in control of such wealth and power to be honest and financially prudent. This is something we have set out to promote. So Solomon Wombo, to us is a shining example.”
