Clergy warns Tiv nation on idols worship

The Tiv ethnic nationality has been warned to refrain from the worship of ancestral gods and all forms of barbaric beliefs as this can only lead to destruction.

Founder of Light and Salvation Ministry, Kadarko, Paul Tavershima Uhagher, told Blueprint  Sunday admonished the Tiv that such practices were capable of making them remain in the dark, stagnant and backward in the scheme of things in the country.

He said, rather than toe that line of darkness by oppressing their kinsmen through witchcraft and other diabolical means, they should join the ongoing revival wave blowing across the Christendom to access the light.

The cleric, who said he got the call of God in January 2017 while working as a builder on a mountain in Ikpayongo, Benue state said,  “Like Elijah, I have been to so many places; I was initially a baptised Catholic, but later backslid into the world.”

“When God wanted to use me, He arrested me and asked me to go to Kadarko where He saw much darkness in the people’s ways of life. My mandate is to go and loose the people from all forms of oppression, especially those wallowing in satanic bondage and captivity.”

He described the Tiv people as hard working, friendly and caring but added that the people needed to embrace God to be liberated from the challenges of security, especially inter-tribal and inter-communal clashes pervading the land.

“Since I came, I was praying and God unveiled so many horrible things to me. I had to move into Kadarko market where I destroyed the evil works done there.  It was left for us to anoint the market spiritually for it to blossom but some forces were uncomfortable with that.

“They asked us to vacate the square and we relocated to RCM Primary School where we now hold night vigil and crusades; but when I complained, God said I should take a cue from Jesus and the apostles who were persecuted and yet never gave up.”

Uhagher believes that, having attained the current spiritual height, it is time to join forces with other men of God to wrest the Tiv nation from demonic operations in the land.

The clergy, who said he was organising a programme ahead of the yuletide to avert road crashes during the festive period, urged Christians to remain united in the fight against Satan at the end time.
