Cleric urges Nigerians to shun religious sentiment

The senior pastor of God’s Grace Revival Gospel Mission, Nyanya-Gwandara, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa state, Pastor John Brace Ben, has called on adherents of Christian and Muslim faiths to put sentiment aside and rather create love with one another for peace to reign in the country. He made this known yesterday in Abuja as part of his Christmas and New Year messages.

He said the insecurity problems in the country can be overcome when people love one another in respective of religion. According to him, the significance of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ by coming together to pray for love and not to buy new cloths.

The pastor advised Nigerians to vote for a person that will bring Nigerians together in love and unity, adding that politicians should play by the rule of the game. “As we entering into the 2019, election year, I am appealing to our politicians to always accept defeat whenever the election is held; they should believe that it is only God that can give power to whoever He likes. When we love one another during and after the election, the country will be peaceful”, he added.
