Clifford varsity to commence 8 more courses Oct 2022

The Vice Chancellor of Clifford University, Ihie, Professor Chimezie Omeonu has said eight new courses will join the 23 courses on offer at Clifford University, Owerrinta, Abia state in the 2022/2023 academic year commencing in October 2022.

Prof Omeonu dropped the cheering news while delivering as keynote address at the third graduation ceremony of Total Education Development Academy (TEDA) Eke-Owerri, Obingwa LGA of Abia state.

He noted that 85 students passed out of TEDA in the 2022 Emeralds class, at a colourful ceremony witnessed by eminent administrators, academics, families, and friends.

Omeonu said the courses include Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, Environmental Health Science, Law and Social Justice, Guidance and Counselling, Library and Information Science, Personnel Management and Computer Science Education.

The vice-chancellor said the eight new courses would add to the 26 programmes that Clifford University currently runs.

He further explained that Clifford University is a private Christian co-educational university owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nigeria.

Omeonu added that the university is in Ihie, Abia state, Nigeria, and belongs to the Seventh-day Adventist education system, the world’s second-largest Christian school system.

Omeonu therefore charged graduating TEDA students to go into the world and showcase their strong foundation of learning, morals, and faith. He cautioned them against indolence or debilitating exuberance of youth that could derail their journeys. He asked that they learn to work collaboratively with others in life’s journey.

It could be recalled that TEDA School commenced in 2013 with six students but now has a student roll of 750 students and a staff complement of 117 personnel.
