Commandant urges newly promoted FRSC officers to be committed to duty

Commandant of Federal Road Safety Corps  (FRSC), Academy in Udi, Mr Charles Akpabio, has urged newly promoted officers and marshals to be committed in carrying out their duties.

Akpabio, who is also an Assistant Corps Marshal, gave the charge while decorating 37 personnel of the academy to their new ranks in Udi near Enugu  Tuesday.

He noted that “road safety is a shared responsibility’’ and officers and marshals must lead by redoubling their efforts and showing good examples at all time.

The commandant thanked the FRSC Corps Marshal, Mr Boboye Oyeyemi, for promoting such a number in the academy in a single time, adding “this is the first time we are witnessing this number of newly promoted personnel in this academy’’.
He said  the Corps Marshal value and appreciate the work and sacrifice of officers and marshals of the corps, which necessitated the unprecedented number of staff being promoted the same time.

“Know that you have been promoted; and we expect more from you; since to whom much is given, much is expected.

“The corps marshal wants you to improve on the level of the success of the Academy and focus all you have both emotionally, technically and physically on road crashes reduction.

“As we know, road crashes does not respect anybody and nobody have immunity over getting involved in road crashes.

“We must do everything possible to avoid road crashes and reduced it to the barest minimum, which is the vision of the corps marshal,’’ he said.
