Commander to troops: Revisit your battle craft to defeat Boko Haram

The Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Abdulmalik Bulama Biu has charged toops of Operation Lafiya Dole to deploy professionalism and basic military tactics to neutralise remnants of Boko Haram terrorists that are still hibernating within the theatre.
The GOC gave the charge while addressing troops at various locations during his maiden operational visit to 21 Brigade in Bama Local Government of Borno State.
He said: “There is no doubt that Boko Haram terrorists has been degraded in terms of their strength, equipment capability and logistics platforms, “adding that the terrorists “no longer potent threat to the Nigeria nation.” “But you must be very professional and constantly revisit your battlefield craft, and reinforce your efforts on ambushes and sustain patrols.” He commended troops of the Brigade for their “doggedness” in combating terrorism, which he said was due to “coordinated efforts, team spirit, dedication and loyalty.” He said the situation in fighting terrorism in the theater has changed, hence the need for troops to change tactics by remaining “focus, motivated and confident”, in order to deny the remnant terrorists any means of sustenance.
“You must also be brave, enduring and persistence in order to checkmate the activities of the terrorists.
”Total alertness is key to totally winning the battle,” he urged.
He expressed delight with the efforts of the troops, adding that he was proud to join the troops to conclude the war.
