Community wants Army to release youths arrested by OSH

 

The Rukuba community in Bassa local government area of Plateau state, have demanded for the release of their sons arrested by the Operation Safe Haven.
The community made the demand in a press conference organised by Bache Development Association in Jos yesterday.
According to them their community remained the most peaceful in Plateau state, and that they have not been involved in the crisis between Irigwe and Fulani communities.
“The discriminate arrest and continued detention of our innocent youths who have nothing to do with the clashes is unacceptable,” the community said.
The further called on the military authority to “immediately release Akasu Michel and tender unreserved apology for their unlawful detention and calm the tension in Kiche community.”
They appealed for reciprocal gesture from the military authority by way of providing social amenities that will touch on the lives of host communities of the 3rd Armoured Division.
